Mechanical engineer and crane maker. I run engineering and operations at Reva Cranes, a family company building EOT cranes and hoists since 1963, and I have spent the last few years turning a traditional factory into an AI-run one.
I hold a BE in mechanical engineering and an MSc, and have worked in EOT cranes and hoists for about 25 years. At Reva I look after design, costing and production, and the systems that tie them together.
Reva was an early adopter of lean manufacturing under the Government of India's Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme, and was named a Best Performing Unit by the National Productivity Council for the Ministry of MSME.
Since then my focus has been software. Our crane costing still runs on an engine I helped build in VB6, and around it we now run more than 65 AI applications across 7 departments: enquiry extraction, bill scrutiny, quality records, HR and field service. That work won two national AI awards in 2026.
Confederation of Indian Industry, Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, 14 October 2026. Recognised for Reva AI Sarthi, our suite of in-house AI tools. The case study is published in CII's 2026 awards compendium.

The first edition of the Times of India's national AI awards, JW Marriott Juhu, Mumbai, 10 September 2026. Reva won the category for a legacy manufacturer that rebuilt itself around AI.

Honoured by the National Productivity Council at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on 20 April 2015 as a best performing unit of the scheme's pilot phase. I was invited to speak on what lean changed at Reva, and the Ministry named Reva a brand ambassador for the scheme.
